Our fourth and last destination was Parma. Parma is not a tourist town, but like the more touristy Italian destinations, it has a main square fronted by a pre-Renaissance duomo (cathedral) and plenty of narrow cobblestone streets lined with buildings that are hundreds of years old. We concluded that the quaint Italian street atmosphere sought by tourists can be found in just about any Italian city. In Parma, we had nice accommodations just off the main square (pink building at lower right).
